Addiction, trauma, and abuse trap millions with nowhere to turn. ABMI trains and equips counselors around the world who walk with the hurting toward lasting freedom in Christ.
Across the world, people are trapped in cycles of addiction, abuse, and pain. And too often, the places they turn to for help are not ready for them.
We understand how overwhelming it feels to watch someone you love stay trapped, and how hard it is to help without training. That is exactly why ABMI exists.
Since 1989, beginning on the University of the Nations campus in Kona, Hawaii, Addictive Behavior Ministries International has partnered with schools and ministries worldwide to equip men and women as addiction counselors. Through Addictive Behavior Counseling Schools (ABCS), we provide biblically grounded training, mentorship, and practical tools for recovery and transformation.

“God is for all who are hurting.”
We believe in the transforming power of Jesus Christ, the one who brings freedom to the captive and healing to the broken. Every class, conversation, and counselor we train flows from this belief.
